Filming for season 3 of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is already underway and the Thompson family was recently spotted shooting scenes in north Georgia, less than a week after the season 2 finale aired.

The finale featured "Mama June" Shannon's wedding to "Sugar Bear" Thompson. Alana Thompson was the flower girl at the commitment ceremony, which took place May 5 in the backyard of the family's Georgia home.

The Thompson family headed to north Georgia earlier in September where it was reported they were filming the new season of their show. They were at Lake Winnepesaukah in Rossville on Sept. 14 and later enjoyed a night out at Vaudeville Cafe in Chattanooga.

Shannon reportedly wrote about the day out in a Facebook post.

"Went to a good crazy dinner show last night Chattanooga tennessee had a good day ever in the area check it out," she wrote.

When fans were a bit disappointed at having missed them, June followed-up her post with an apology: "We want here but over night was filming for something close by couldn't post we was here sorry."

Mama June announced that Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was renewed for a third season also in a Facebook post.

"Thanks so much for supporting us through another season looking forward to next season as we start backup production tomorrow..." she wrote on Sept. 10.
