More information pertaining to the upcoming season of CBS' Criminal Minds has indeed surfaced, as the future installment will reportedly be focusing in on a high profile death that took place roughly fifty years ago.

Episode 3, which is titled Final Shot, will be related to the anniversary of John F. Kennedy's assassination.

The CBS network has released the following synopsis on the highly anticipated episode:

"When a sniper strikes Dallas, the BAU investigates whether the upcoming anniversary of the Kennedy assassination is a motivating factor or if something else is driving the UnSub, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Eva LaRue guest starts as FBI Agent Tanya Mays, who assists the BAU with the investigation."

Despite the detailed synopsis, no further information has yet to come out in terms of the characters for the respective episode.

Interesting enough, LaRue is known for her standout role on CSI: Miami prior to its axing.
