Actress Julia-Louis Dreyfus won the Primetime Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Selina Meyer on HBO's Veep.

Taking the stage for her acceptance speech, Dreyfus received comedic help from her co-star and fellow winner Tony Hale, who stood behind her throughout her speech, holding her bag.

As Dreyfus started struggling to remember everyone she had to thank though, Hale stepped up to whisper a very important reminder in her ear-the actress's family.

"I'd like to thank our...my family," the actress said to laughs from the audience, as Hale then backed up behind her again.

"Brad Hall and Henry Hall and Charlie hall...my children are here this evening, " she added.

"...And I love them so much!" she added after Hale again whispered to her, this time for audibly into the microphone.

Dreyfus faced some familiar competition this year, once again going up against Lena Dunham for Girls, Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie, Amy Poehler for Parks and Recreation and Tina Fey for 30 Rock. This year also saw the addition of Laura Dern to the race for Enlightened.

This was Dreyfus's second consecutive win for her role on Veep, which follows her character as she adjusts to being the vice president after serving as senator. She previously won Emmy's for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2006 for The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Supporting Actress in a Comedy in 2006 for Seinfeld.

This win makes Dreyfus the only actress to tie the legendary Lucille Ball for total number of wins, according to Today.com.

You can watch Dreyfus's award-winning performance as Selina Meyer on Veep when it returns to HBO for its third season this spring.
