To the excitement of its fans, CBS' The Big Bang Theory will be returning tonight for its highly anticipated seventh season, which will initially feature a new and improved Raj (Kunal Nayyar), who hasn't been so much at a loss for words with the ladies as he used to be.

However, while many fans assume that Raj's newfound courage is here to stay, Nayyar admitted otherwise to TV Guide.

"He's not doing well! He hasn't been able to talk to women for a long time, so he's going to put his foot in his mouth a lot," he said.

It appears as though Raj isn't yet over his ex, Lucy (Kate Micucci), which clearly has put a damper on any long-term changes in terms of socializing.

"You see Raj mopey in the beginning because he's not with Lucy. Howard snaps him out of his funk. Howard doesn't have to be the wingman anymore in the same way," he said.
