For those who worried that Gordon Ramsay wouldn't be able to dial back his rough language around the young contestants of MasterChef Junior, you were right.

The Hell's Kitchen chef dropped language within hearing of little ears a grand total of...two times, according to Today.

With a cast of 8 to 12-year-olds, the program has a lot more to worry about than just putting and end to the famous chef's cursing. A recent clip of Ramsay telling a youngster that he's not there to wipe his bottom combined with the show's highly competitive atmosphere and the generally brutal reviews of the MasterChef judges may lead some viewers to wonder if it is all too much to place on a child.

However, Ramsay said that they show was formatted to be gentle with the competitors feelings without coddling them.

"We let them down gently. We managed their expectations. But, listen, they're kids. So, you know, we weren't blowing smoke up their backside and telling them they're going to become superstars," Ramsay said, according to Today. "We kept it pretty much real. But you're going to see some talent that is better than the overall competition this year, and that is straight up. So I rest my case on that one."

MasterChef Junior premieres on Fox tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
