The season 3 premiere episode of Revenge showed Jack Porter holding resentment against Emily Thorne and their relationship going forward will face roadblocks that will might even bring tears.

In the Sept. 29 epsiode, titled Fear, Jack (Nick Wechsler) kissed Emily (Emily VanCamp) but then told her that he does not feel anything for her. He told Emily to leave him and his son Carl alone and to have nothing to do with them. Later, he comes to the conclusion that Emily poisoned Conrad Grayson and almost killed him, and tells her that by the end of the summer she must leave the Hamptons or he will expose her true identity as Amanda Clarke

The confrontation they had in the Stowaway before they kissed is "a really intense, awful moment between them because he has so much anger - and rightfully so," VanCamp said. "And I think you know in her wildest dreams she'd love for him to understand and is trying to make him understand but you can't make someone as pure as Jack understand this kind of anger and sadness that she has inside of her that's fueling this whole plan."

That meeting when Jack first returns from out of town sets the stage for their dynamic the rest of the season.

"It's going to be a really intense ride for those two and kind of a sad one, really," VanCamp added.

Jack's anger may boil over in season 3 but he will not be killing anyone, Wechsler revealed. When a Twitter user asked "are you going to kill someone in the end?? I mean Jack of course XD," the actor replied, "Jack? No."

The body count this season will be less than in the past, that being also the reason why Ashely Davenport (Ashley Madekwe) was not killed off the show but rather sent away in the season 3 premiere. Showrunner Sunil Nayar explained the reason for not killing many prime characters.

"Last year, that was part of the dramatic thrust of the season, but we feel like there's so many great people among [the cast] that to kill them, there's an element of finality to it that we don't want to embrace because we want all of these wonderful characters to come back," he explained.

Revenge airs Sundays on ABC at 9 p.m. ET.
