Jenna Elfman will be guest starring on The Mindy Project as a publicist who "sexually dominates" Daniel "Danny" Castellano (Chris Messina), according to a Vulture report.

Elfman (Dharma and Greg, Keeping the Faith) will be portraying a publicist who helps with crisis-management at the clinic and she might have a brief fling with Dr. Castellano. On the last season, Chloe Sevigny and Allison Williams have been a few of the female guest stars whose characters were romantically involved with Castellano.

Larean Tate (House of Lies, Rescue Me) will also be guest-starring this season. Tate will play Tracy Whitfield, a politician running for Congress. Kaling revealed that Tate would be coming on board, saying that he was one of a few "fun guys coming up" on the show, in an exclusive Google hangout session with Entertainment Weekly on Oct. 4.

The National made a guest appearance on the most recent episode of The Mindy Project, which aired on Oct. 1. The band was the headliner of a fictional music festival on the show. Mindy's fiance on the show, Casey Pearson (Anders Holm), the pastor-turned DJ, also performed as part of the festival.

The band recently released its studio album, Trouble Will Find Me. They played two songs from the record, This is the Last Time and I Need My Girl.

Season 2 of The Mindy Project premiered on Sept. 24.

The show airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. E.T. on Fox.
