The Project Runway season 12 finale airs Thursday and one designer will be named the winner after showing their collection at New York Fashion Week.

Joining host/judge Heidi Klum and the rest of the panel this week is Scandal actress Kerry Washington. Wearing a floral cocktail dress from Stella McCartney's Resort 2014 collection, she was a guest judge and shined next to Klum, who wore a floor-length gold gown.

Both women, along with Zac Posen, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn, judged the final runway show as the last four contestants present their final collections. The final four are Alexandria von Bromssen of California, Bradon McDonald of California, Justin LeBlanc of North Carolina and Dom Streater of Pennsylvania. The designers feel the stress backstage and more than one are reduced to tears. One designer also has a major issue with one of his dresses that he tries dealing with minutes before it hits the runway.

Gunn gave the designers $9,000 and six measly weeks to create a 10-look collection for spring. One of the looks had to be made with an unconventional material, which Heidi stressed couldn't be anything resembling real fabric. The finalists also had to create an extra look that would be machine-washable.

Helen Castillo from New Jersey was sent home in last week's episode. The judges were very unhappy with her final runway look before the finale and Klum told her, "I'm so unhappy with what you did." Castillo admitted that she had been over-confident.

The finale airs Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
