The eight remaining couples on Dancing With the Stars may be faced with even more pressure next week as there may be a double elimination.

An ABC representative recently told Today that the couples should expect to see a double elimination soon, though it might not necessarily be next week. The double elimination is in light of the voting snafu last week in which the show displayed incorrect call-in numbers to vote for various couples.

High School Musical star Corbin Bleu's partner Karina Smirnoff noted that the impending double elimination is scary.

"We'll probably have a double-elimination next week, and we had (one of) the lowest scores, so that makes it scary," she noted. The couple danced the Viennese waltz to the Game of Thrones theme song and received their lowest score yet: a 23 out of 30.

"You don't want to see anyone go home," Bleu explained, discussing this week's non-elimination. "This was a wonderful solution. But it does make it scarier for next week."

Sharon Osbourne, whose son Jack is still in the competition with partner Cheryl Burke, recently tweeted that the double elimination would indeed happen last week.

"TWO people are going home next week on @DancingABC!" she tweeted late Monday night. "Please get your votes in for @JackOsbourne!!"

ABC has not confirmed whether or not the double elimination will actually happen next week though they may be withholding any confirmation to give Monday night's show more suspense.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
