The last few pages of the series finale of Breaking Bad screenplay were released this week, revealing the official fates of the main characters.

When Breaking Bad ended on Sept. 29, there was some uncertainty as to what happened with Walt (Bryan Cranston) and especially Jesse (Aaron Paul). The last few pages of the finale screenplay, written by series creator Vince Gilligan, were revealed at the Austin Film Festival.

While Walt fell to the ground and presumably died in the Nazis' meth lab, there were some fans who did not believe he actually died in that moment. Gilligan confirmed Walt's death by writing "his eyes stare up at us, lifeless."

Gilligan also confirmed that the ending is intended to be a happy one for Walt, writing, that the police officers are "too late" and that Walt "got away."

As for Jesse, the troubled junkie was last seen driving away from the Nazi camp screaming with joy and relief. He is seen driving very fast, which could possibly lead to a car accident of some sort. Gilligan wrote that the ending is intentionally ambiguous.

"From here on, it's up to us to say where he's headed," Gilligan wrote. "I like to call it 'something better' and leave it at that."

While there is no clear-cut ending for Jesse, the series creator suggests that he sees Jesse's ending as happy as well.

The complete series of Breaking Bad will be released on DVD on Nov. 26, featuring footage of Cranston and Paul reading the finale script together for the first time.
