Lady Gaga will be making her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on Nov. 16.

Gaga is hosting SNL for the first time and will also be the musical guest for the episode, according to a Thursday press release by NBC. She is promoting her new album ARTPOP, which comes out on Nov. 11 and features her latest hit songs Applause and Do What U Want featuring R. Kelly.

While it is the superstar's first hosting gig for the sketch comedy series, it is her third appearance as a musical guest. Gaga performed on SNL in 2009 to promote her debut album The Game and performed again in 2011 to promote Born This Way.

Gaga's hosting debut will be followed up by Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Josh Hutcherson in his own hosting debut on Nov. 23. Catching Fire, in which Hutcherson stars as Peeta Mellark, will be released in theaters on Nov. 22. Hutcherson's co-star Jennifer Lawrence hosted in January 2013.

Hutcherson will be joined by musical guest HAIM on the Nov. 23 episode. The indie pop band recently released their debut album Days Are Gone, featuring such hits as Falling and The Wire.

Gaga and HAIM continue a trend this season on SNL of featuring female hosts and musical guests, perhaps making up for the lack of both last season. Last season, the only solo female musical guest was Rihanna. Similarly, there were only five female hosts compared to 16 male hosts.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
