Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have reportedly been having secret meetings for months. 

A source told E! News that the former couple spent four hours alone in Pattinson's rented Beverly Hills mansion before they were photographed driving near each other on Wednesday.  

According to the insider, after they were spotted by paparazzi, Pattinson drove back to his house. A frustrated Stewart gave the photographers the middle finger, perhaps because their secret outdoor reunion plans were derailed.

However, a friend of Pattinson's also told E! News that they were surprised to learn he is in touch with her. The insider believes the chances of them becoming a couple again are slim because the British hunk wants to stay single.

"Rob is single. He doesn't want to date anybody right now," that source told the publication. "Not Kristen, not anyone. He is really enjoying his life. I honestly believe they will not get back together. There is always a small chance something happens, but I highly doubt it."

The insider added that they are platonic friends because their three-year relationship ended on bad terms when they split in May.

"There was lots of animosity after the split, but as time moved on they moved on and they gradually got over it," the source said. "They are cordial now."

The two were also seen driving their respective cars as they rode close to each other on Oct. 30. Stewart was in her blue Toyota pickup truck while Pattinson trailed close behind in his jeep. View the picture of Stewart and Pattinson in their vehicles here.
