There may be a mini-Breaking Bad reunion on the upcoming fifth season of Community.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan will be making his acting debut on Community this season, according to a new report by Entertainment Weekly. The creator will be playing a smooth-talking gold digger who becomes involved in a fight between Abed (Danny Pudi) and Annie (Alison Brie).

Gilligan may be reuniting with one of the members of the Breaking Bad cast in his episode. Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut on several seasons of Breaking Bad, is slated to appear in 11 episodes of Community this season. Giancarlo Esposito (who played Gus in Breaking Bad) has appeared on previous seasons of Community and could appear again if the producers want an even bigger reunion of the popular AMC drama.

There will also be another prominent series creator appearing on the upcoming season of Community. Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz will appear on the NBC sitcom according to TVLine. He will be playing Preston Koogler, who is described as "Greendale Community College's ultimate party animal." He is also described as a ladies man and a guy's guy.

In other Community news, the title of the premiere episode of season 5 was revealed Monday. According to Gillian Jacobs, who plays Britta on the sitcom, the episode will be called Repiloting. This is likely a reference to the offscreen drama involving creator Dan Harmon being fired and then subsequently brought back to lead Community.
