Heaven's newest baddie has been quiet as of late, but Bartholomew's reach could still be felt during Tuesday's episode of Supernatural.

Lately there are enemies everywhere the Winchester brothers look. Once one is down, like Naomi (Amanda Tapping), another one shots up in their place. While Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have their hands full with Crowley (Mark Sheppard), Abaddon (Alaina Huffman), Metatron (Curtis Armstrong), and every vengeful fallen angel, Bartholomew (Adam Harrington) is quietly setting plans into motion.

"Bartholomew is malicious in a way that Naomi wasn't," said Misha Collins (Castiel), according to TV Guide. "She would engage in torture, but there's something more sinister about Bartholomew. He seems to me to be less sympathetic."

The angel clearly doesn't care how many people he accidentally blows up in his effort to find vessels for his brothers. His use of Reverend Buddy Boyle (Kevin Brief) to encourage the faithful to accept the angels into their lives can have devastating effects, as shown in "Heaven Can't Wait."

"Bartholomew set out to be a headhunter to kind of rule the roost, whereas Naomi was more in the business of trying to preserve heaven and ruling that landscape," Ackles explained to TV Guide. "With that comes [new] rules of the game."

However, the boys will have another major threat coming their way in the form of Malachi, according to Spoiler TV. Set to appear in "Holy Terror," Malachi is preparing for war and doesn't react well when angels refuse to join his army.
