Desmond Hatchett, a man who fathered 30 children with eleven women is saying he needs a break from paying out child-support.

Hatchett, who is only 33 years old, has broken the record in the Knox County Juvenile Child Support Court for having the most children. His children range from toddlers to 14-years-old. He earns a minimum wage - of which the state takes half to divvy up among his 30 children. This means the children only get $1.49 a month.

Hatchet was in court this morning saying he is unable to make child-support payments. He told Fox2Now.com: "I had four kids in the same year. Twice."

In 2009, Hatchet had 21 children and first appeared in court on charges that many of the mothers were not receiving any child support. At that time, he handed a $400 check to the mothers and promised that he was not going to father any more kids.
He reportedly said: "I didn't intend to have this many, it just happened."

When asked if he can keep up with the children, he responded that he remembers the names and birthdays of all his children.
Many of the women who had his children list themselves as being single with children.

In 2009, Hatchett's attorney told WVLT: "You look at when they filed, how many children they have - he has several mothers that he has two children with. And, it's tough."
