On the upcoming final season of True Blood, Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) will be getting a love interest.

Eric will somehow be able to survive into season 7 after sunbathing naked and burning up in the season 6 finale. Not only will Eric be alive, he will also have a new love interest, but it won't be someone introduced on the show thus far.

The new love interest's name is "Slyvie", according to a new report by E!Online (though this may be a typo with her real name being Sylvie). "Slyvie" will be a "drop-dead gorgeous" female with the ability to speak fluent French. At this time, it is not yet known if she will be some sort of magical creature, such as a vampire, werewolf or faerie.

However, with True Blood show runner Brian Buckner's previous comments about getting the show back to its more traditional roots, the new character is not likely to have any crazy powers.

Casting for the "Slyvie" character has not yet been announced, though it's possible that the casting process has not even begun.

True Blood returns for its seventh and final season in summer 2014, though a specific premiere date has not yet been scheduled by HBO.
