With Dancing With the Stars season 17 having aired its finale, celebrities are already lining up to appear on season 18 in spring 2014.

One of those celebrities allegedly wanting to be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in season 18 is Tori Spelling. The actress, 40, is hoping to make a comeback through appearing on the show, according to a new report by RadarOnline.

"Tori has now decided to make herself available and wants to appear on the upcoming season which is scheduled to begin in March 2014," a source told RadarOnline. "The main reason Tori wants to go on is to rehab her image in the aftermath of the fallout from her book. She doesn't want the public to think she goes around picking on Katie Holmes and Martha Stewart."

In her memoir Spelling It Like It Is, Spelling criticized both public figures and received backlash for some of her claims, such as Holmes being "a robot."

Dancing With the Stars producers have approached Spelling about appearing on the show in the past, but the source said that she has always declined because of her involvement in various projects that took up her time.

The source also claims that Spelling needs some cash, especially to support her four children with husband Dean McDermott.

"It's no secret that Tori is experiencing some major financial hardships. She does admit to having two left feet, so she isn't expecting to go far in the competition," the source added.

Additionally, PureDWTS recently reported that Clueless actress Elisa Donovan is interested in appearing on Dancing With the Stars season 18. The actress admitted that the campaign started as a joke but turned into something that she wants to do. Watch Donovan discuss the possibility in this video.
