In a recent interview with Enstars, fashion expert Tim Gunn suggested that the contestants on Project Runway create the worst menswear in the fashion arena.

Enstars recently caught up with Gunn on Friday, Dec. 6, to find out about the current season of Project Runway: All Stars 3. When asked about which contestants showed promise on the show and who he believed would make it to the finale, Gunn remained tight-lipped.

After some prodding about which contestant's aesthetic he appreciated most or whose line he would trust enough for personal wear, Gunn revealed that he would steer clear of Project Runway contestants all together when it came to menswear.

"God forfend that any of those Project Runway designers design menswear!" he said. "If you've ever seen our men's wear challenges they are the worst things that have ever happened to the whole fashion arena, horrible!"

But while Gunn took swipes at the failure of  Runway contestants, he did cut them some slack by suggesting that the pressure and lack of time might have something to do with the not-as-satisfactory finished products.

"But I will also say bluntly, it's about time, I mean tailoring takes time and given the fact that we usually have no more than ten hours for a challenge, they're not even going to get anything that is even remotely close to good tailoring, but given more time, who knows?" he said.

Gunn's new show Under the Gunn, which is similar to Project Runway, will premiere Jan. 16 on Lifetime.
