One of the stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta might be appearing on the next season of Dancing With the Stars if she gets her way.

Kandi Burruss, who is one of the current cast members on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is interested in appearing as a contestant on season 18 of Dancing With the Stars.

One of Burruss' followers on Twitter asked her, "Sis, would [you] ever do DWTS??" to which she responded, ""I would love to."

Considering Burruss has previous musical experience as part of the R&B group Xscape, she may be a perfect fit for the show. Younger singers have traditionally done well on the show, such as Nicole Scherzinger and Kellie Pickler.

While Dancing With the Stars does have a tendency to cast reality stars, such as Kim Kardashian and Kate Gosselin, there has been only one competitor from the entire Real Housewives franchise.

In Dancing With the Stars' 17-season history, only Lisa Vanderpump of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has participated as a contestant. Vanderpump participated in season 16, in which she placed 10th overall out of 12 celebrities.

News of Burruss' interest in participating comes days after Shahs of Sunset star Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi teased her own possible candidacy for Dancing With the Stars season 18. Producers will likely reveal the official cast in February 2014.
