The Downton Abbey season 4 Christmas Special is now right around the corner, as fans are even closer to finally meeting Cora's playboy brother, Harold (Paul Giamatti).

Giamatti's character is described as someone who's not only been involved in some bad business, but also has a rap for getting into sexual relations with multiple females.

The actor spoke to the Telegraph on Dec. 20 and gave his take on Harold, who he says offers more than meets the eye.

"I thought it was kind of interesting the way the character was written. He's awkward and not terribly comfortable in these social situations. He's more comfortable in business. He obviously [sleeps] around a lot on yachts and stuff like that, but it's not his primary purpose," he said.

Giamatti continued on about his character, elaborating on his association with a shady scandal called Teapot Dome.

"I'm this immensely wealthy businessman, who had some sort of involvement in the crooked deals that were part of this thing called the Teapot Dome scandal during the President Harding administration. Harold has come to London to lay low," Giamatti added.
