Despite his own appearance on the new season of the reality TV show Couple's Therapy, former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin is criticizing his ex-wife for constantly trying to drag their children back into the spotlight.

"She tweets everything. To the world, all about my children," he said in an interview with Philadelphia magazine. "I think it's disgusting and awful. They can't even have a normal life."

He also defended his criticisms of his ex, saying that trash-talking her isn't beneficial to him in his new life-a much quieter one which includes living in a cabin the woods and working as a waiter at Black Dog restaurant in Pennsylvania.

"Everyone thinks I'm out to get Kate. I don't give a f***!" Gosselin said. "What would I get out of it? Everyone knows she's an a**hole, you know what I mean? I don't have to-she's proven that!"

He went on to add that unlike him, Kate will do anything to get back on TV screens-whether it includes suing him, or rehashing ancient history.

"Kate wants to still be on television. She's now digging into the past, because that's what sells. Too late, honey. No one gives a f***, really," he said.

Kate recently dropped a lawsuit against her ex-husband, where she accused him of wire-tapping and hacking, which she initially filed back in September.

The former couple married back in 1999 and became a reality TV phenomenon after giving birth to twins, Mady and Cara in 2001, and sextuplets, Alexis, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Leah and Aaden in 2004. They divorced in 2009 after allegations that Jon had cheated.

Jon will be on TV again when he and girlfriend Liz Jannetta appear on VH1's fourth season of Couple's Therapy, but he claims he only went on the show because he genuinely needed the help in his current relationship.

"We needed the therapy for our relationship. We really couldn't afford therapy. And it's free therapy," he said.

Couple's Therapy Season 4 premieres Jan. 2 on VH1. See preview clip of Gosselin and Jannetta on the show below:
