Person of Interest actor Kevin Chapman is confident that his character Fusco will rise to a level of prominence he never had before in the wake of Carter's (Taraji P. Henson) death.

Chapman recently spoke with TV Guide about Fusco and where he sees the character going in the remainder of season 3.

"I don't think you're going to see Fusco calling the shots, but with the HR movement out of the [precinct], we have a lot of new officers in there," Chapman said. "They're all kind of looking to Fusco to kind of mentor and steer the ship the way Carter did. He's the senior member of the detective staff. I think that's becoming a bit overwhelming for him, but I think he also welcomes it. The man behind the mask is very happy that it's happened because it's a validation for him."

While Chapman is confident that his character will have added prominence, he also noted that no one is safe on Person of Interest except The Machine, especially after Carter's death. The actor added that Fusco's storyline will "run out of gas" eventually, though he doesn't know if that will be by the end of the season or years from now.

"Right now, Fusco is their only means of access to the police department, which I think they need at this point in time. But who knows where it's all going to end?" he teased.
