Movie star Nicholas Cage turned 50 on Tuesday. In honor of his half-century, here is a list of his five most memorable films.


1. Kick-Ass

Cage plays Damon Macready a.k.a. Big Daddy in the superhero comedy about a high school student who decides to become a superhero even though he has no powers or special superhero abilities. Cage played his own superhero who teams up with his daughter known as "Hit-Girl" played by Chloe Grace Moretz.



2. National Treasure

Cage starred in the critically acclaimed film about a historian who goes on the hunt for a hidden treasure that was buried after the Revolutionary War. Cage played Benjamin Franklin Gates who goes on the hunt while keeping the FBI at large.


3. The Family Man

This holiday family film starred Cage as an arrogant investment broker who gets a glimpse of what life he could've had if he had chosen to stay with his college sweetheart. Cage's character gets a taste of what it's like to have a wife and kids with a mediocre job to discover the value of being a family man.


4. Gone in 60 Seconds

Cage stars in an action film about a man who needs to steal 50 cars in one night to save his brother's life. This film also marked a breakthrough for Angelina Jolie.


5. Moonstruck

Starring Cher, this film revolved around a woman who falls for her fiance's brother. Cage played the brother and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy.
