Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) has had enough of Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and will be leaving Weatherfield for London on Coronation Street.

The Rovers Return barmaid has been having an affair with the newly-married man, which culminated in the two nearly being caught having sex. Tina has struggled with her feelings since the incident and hinted she may leave, only to have Peter beg her to stay.

The conflict led Tina to give Peter an ultimatum. If she stayed, he would have to tell Carla (Allison King) everything and then leave her. If he wanted to be with Carla, however, Tina would leave town.

In the Wednesday, Jan. 8 episode Peter will tell Tina that he has chosen not to leave Carla because he loves her and not Tina.

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, David (Jack P. Shepard) may be up to some of his old tricks now that he and Kylie (Paula Lane) have decided to give their marriage another chance. He decided to stir up some trouble with Gail (Helen Worth) by leaving a list of her good and bad points lying around, knowing full well that she will find it. David could be setting himself up for sabotage in his personal life, yet again.

Roy (David Neilson) is delighted when Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) regains some of her lost appetite and likes the strawberries he has brought home to her, while Maria (Samia Ghadle) and Marcus (Charlie Condou) begin house-hunting.
