AMC's The Walking Dead is no stranger to stranger to killing off its main characters in order to keep its fans guessing.

Speaking of character deaths, the latest season 4 midseason promo rolled out by the AMC network seems to hint that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) just may be the next one to bite the dust when The Walking Dead makes its midseason return in February.

In the most footage, Carl (Chandler Riggs) can be seen screaming for his father. Being that the drama TV series is full of its fair share of surprises, the former leader dying off is not out of the question.

To add to the speculation, Comic Book had predicted on Dec. 28 that another main character would die before the end of the second half of the fourth installment.

The site stated it had "a pretty good indication of which cast member will be dying, and let's just say it will be a real shocker."

The Walking Dead is set to make its return to the small screen for episode 9, its midseason premiere on Sunday, Feb.4 at 9/8 p.m. Central Standard Time.
