The top five contestants for the Miss USA 2012 title were chosen after the evening gown competition:
Georgia, Nevada, Rhode Island, Maryland and Ohio.
Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and New Jersey were out.
The top five faced the judges for an interview which will determine who takes home the coveted crown tonight. Miss Georgia was questioned by judge Cat Cora about her opinion on the Mayor of New York banning sugary drinks. When asked whether this is going too far, Miss Georgia Jasmine Wilkins replied: "I don't think this goes too far. I'm glad they are putting some restrictions on it."
Rob Kardashian asked a Twitter question to Miss Rhode Island "Olivia Culpo": "Would u feel it would be fair if a miss USA transgender woman won the title?"
She replied: "I accept that because i believe it is a free country."

The Miss USA 2012 pageant kicked off at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas tonight at 9 p.m.
The two-hour show will feature musical performances from Akon and Cobra Starship, along with special correspondents Jeannie Mai from "How Do I Look?" and Kelly Osbourne.
Judges are: Ali Fedotowsky, Marilu Henner, Rob Kardashian, Arsenio Hall, Dayana Mendoza, Joe Jonas, Cat Cora, and George Kotsiopoulos.
Viewers will be able to ask questions to the contestants this year via Twitter. They will also be able to send in questions throughout the show tonight.
"One lucky fan's question will be read to a Top Five finalist during the interview portion," a executive producer Barry Adelman in a statement. "Live tweets will be incorporated during the swimsuit and evening gown portions, giving viewers an opportunity to follow what fans are saying in real time. Plus, we wanted to add an element of suspense by integrating social media into the final question portion. It will all come down to one contestant, one fan and 140 characters."
