It appears that Paul Walker's character in Fast and Furious 7 may not die after all.

Although nothing is official, recent reports have suggested that the filmmakers have ideas on how they plan to keep Walker's character in the film.

There was a previous report in International Business Times on Friday that Cody Walker (the actor's brother) could potentially replace the actor due to their similar appearances.

Paul Walker's Character To Be Killed Off?

A source told The Daily Mail, "Producers had a string of meetings right after Paul's death. They soon realized they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and that's when they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody. They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it's a shot they need Paul's face in close up, they can CGI it later on."

"If Cody agrees, it's because he wants to honor his brother's memory," the source continued. "There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now the family, cast and crew are still grieving."

If Walker's brother ends up filling in for the actor, then there is a possibility that Walker's character won't die. The filmmakers may want his character to stay alive so he won't meet a tragic end.

According to the report, a source told OK! Magazine, "The producers of the film want to complete the film, and no there has been no conclusion in regards to Walker's character in the film. The screenwriters are thinking of paying a right tribute to Walker's character rather than kill him off."

Fast and Furious 7 is set to hit theaters on April 10, 2015.
