Lena Headey will reprise her role as Queen Gorgo and is featured in a flashback scene from the first flick. The sequence confirms the death of King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and makes way for Gorgo to avenge him.

Fans also get to see shots of the ocean flowing through the night sky along with lit tunnels.

King Xerxes also appears out of the water and announces war to the kingdom from the top of a building.

Music then blares as the war begins and Artimesia says, "I'm going to attack the Greeks with my entire navy," as images of ships in the water, balls of fire, and horses jumping into the ocean are seen.

The trailer also hints at a potential love story between Artimesia and navy advocate Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton).

The clip concludes with more images of war as an unknown voice shouts out, "We chose to die on our feet rather than live on our knees!"

The film is set to hit theaters on March 7. Check out the trailer below.
