The creators of The Good Wife suggested that Alicia and Peter's relationship might be in trouble again, in a recent interview with TVGuide.

The show's executive producers, Robert and Michelle King, spoke to the publication about about how the rest of season 5 -- which is on hiatus until March -- of the show might pan out.

Over the last few episodes a lot of ugliness surrounding the gubernatorial elections and Peter's win had been revealed. As Peter was being incriminated for having rigged the election in his favor, he and Alicia's son, Zach, seemed to have been dragged into the mess. Zach had been witness to the illegal activity and testified in court about the unsealed ballots.

Michelle suggested that, in a sense, Peter does betray Alicia again by keeping this information from her, which falls in line with his reputation that was set from the beginning.

"We wanted to be true to the idea of the relationship and what started at the beginning of the series, which was this incredible betrayal," Michelle said. "Then, yes, they came together, but even when there's a whiff of something for her to lose her trust, she reacts a lot because of that initial betrayal."

The duo also spoke about the changing dynamic between Alicia and Will and the need for them to redefine how they interact with each other.

"The bottom line is how are they going to find something they can live with each other about," Robert said. "You can't live in that level of passion forever."

"It isn't like we're never going to play that again. We're going to find different ways to go at the issue," Michelle added.

It was also revealed that Matthew Goode (Match Point) will be guest starring on the show as a "witty" and "intellectual" prosecutor and will be going up against Will on the Hunter Parrish case in court.

The next episode of The Good Wife will air on Mar. 9 at 8/7 p.m. Central Time on CBS:
