The trailer for the new film The Fault in Our Stars has been released.

The film, based on the novel by John Green, revolves around Hazel, a teenager with cancer, who meets and falls in love with a boy named Augustus. The two then share intimate moments in the short amount of time Hazel has left.

The film stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Egort.

The trailer starts off with Hazel describing a life that involves sugar coating even though it's not the reality she has to face. She then runs into Augustus at the support group where Augustus reveals that oblivion is one of his fears.

As the trailer continues, the teenagers share more intimate moments, including when Augustus asks Hazel about her story. She starts to tell him about when she was diagnosed, but then he asks about her "real story." She says that she's "quite un-extraordinary," but he rejects that.

While Augustus is falling for Hazel, she has to explain that she's not going to be around for much longer and she doesn't want to hurt him. Augustus doesn't give up and the trailer ends with Hazel going back to where she was in the beginning in the sugar coated life, but realizing that she can be happy in the reality she has to face.

Woodley's previous credits include The Descendants and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Egort's most previous credit includes the 2013 version of Carrie. The two will also be in Divergent, coming to theaters this March.

The Fault in Our Stars is set to hit theaters on June 6.
