Yesterday, suspicion surrounded "America's Got Talent" contestant Timothy Poe who claimed to have sustained injuries from a grenade attack in Afghanistan.

And now, even the photo of a soldier that was featured with Poe's audition on the show this week is not him too! Instead, the photo is of Staff Sgt Norman Bone, who is livid about his photo being used to represent Poe.

Bone told TMZ that he first heard about the photo from his ex-wife saw the auditions on NBC's AGT this week. He said she thought it was just part of a tribute to the troops in Afghanistan.

"First thing that came to my mind was 'Why would this lying son of a bitch do this," he told TMZ. "I'm absolutely furious. Been seeing red all day."

Michael Timothy Poe, 35, told judges on the talent show on Monday that he spent 14 years in the military and that he was hit by a grenade in Afghanistan in 2009, leading to a broken back and brain injury.

In an interview on "America's Got Talent", Poe spoke in a distinct stutter, saying he developed it after his injuries. He said: "I had volunteered for a team to go out and clear buildings and help out with the wounded. There was a guy who came up with a rocket propelled grenade... I saw it coming down and by the time I turned and went to jump on top of my guys, I yelled 'grenade' and the blast hit me."

The Army Times reports that military records show that Poe worked as a supply specialist with the Minnesota Army National Guard from 2002 to 2011. He was also deployed to Kosovo between 2007 and 2008, and served in Afghanistan for a month in 2009. However, there is no record of Poe being injured in a grenade explosion.

Lt. Col. Kevin Olson, a spokesman for Minnesota's National Guard said in a statement: "Sgt. Poe's official military records do not indicate that he was injured by a grenade in combat while serving in Afghanistan in 2009, as he reports."

Soldiers who are injured during war combat are usually rewarded with a purple heart, which was not mentioned by Poe in his AGT interview.

Olson told AP in a telephone interview that they could not substantiate what was said by Poe.

In response to allegations that Poe liked, the singer told TMZ that his injury and stutter are 100% legitimate. He fired back saying it is acommon problem that injuries in Afghanistcan are not recorded. He also said he plans to sue those who told media that he was lying, including his ex-wife.
