One of the stars of Orange is the New Black recently revealed her surprising past hobby.

Uzo Aduba, who plays Crazy Eyes on Orange is the New Black, admitted that she was once a very passionate figure skater.

"I figure skated for like 10 years when I was a kid," Aduba told E! Online at the Savannah College Art and Design's aTVfest.

Aduba famously showed off her skills in episode 13 of the first season, in which Crazy Eyes auditioned for the Christmas pageant.

"I used that special skill when I auditioned before the pageant," Aduba said. "It was really me figure skating. People have asked...'Is that a stunt double doing those axels and jumps?' I was like, 'No, that was me.'"

Aduba previously said that she enjoys playing the character Crazy Eyes, though she clarified why the "Crazy" part of her name can actually be a good thing.

"She's always been Suzanne in my mind," she explained. "The way I use 'crazy' is she's crazy good, crazy fun, crazy fun to play, for sure. But she's definitely been Suzanne to me because I didn't want to get trapped in the one layer of just playing crazy."

She added that Crazy Eyes is a character who feels deeply and loves passionately, putting all of her energy into every emotion she feels.

Orange is the New Black season 2 is expected to premiere in spring 2014 on Netflix, though Google appears to be claiming an April 25 premiere date. Netflix has not yet made an official announcement.
