The Pie Maker left our TV screens in 2009, but Pushing Daisies fans may still have the chance to see his story play out.

'Hannibal' Shows What Will Graham Is Truly Capable Of In Season 2, Hugh Dancy Talks Profiler's Future

The facts are these: Bryan Fuller's offbeat tale of the supernaturally gifted Ned (Lee Pace), his undead girlfriend (not that Ned would approve of the term undead, your either alive or your not), PI Emerson Cod (Chi McBride), and Pie Hole waitress Olive Snook (Kristin Chenoweth) could be coming to Broadway. Or Netflix. Or a movie theater near you.

Fuller isn't entirely sure how the series will be resurrected, but his recent interview with E! indicates that he's defiantly exploring his options.

Who Will Die In Season 2 Of 'Hannibal'?

"There's a couple of format options," Fuller told E!, explaining that he "would love to do a musical, and I also would love to do a movie [as opposed to a Netflix run], because you have higher impact and it also has an iconography."'

Fuller, along with director Barry Sonnenfeld, have high hopes for a comeback, but the plot may not be quite what fans would expect.

"I would love to do a musical and make it all about Kristin Chenoweth and her character, Olive Snook," Fuller said, according to E!. "I think it would be incredible!"

As long as Fuller gets around to explaining the full story behind Ned's absentee father and his mysterious reappearance in season 2 (trailer below), fans will probably be happy with whatever format the series creator settles on.

For now, however, Fuller devotes can tune into his latest project, Hannibal, which returns to NBC on Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.
