Hellcats star Heather Hemmens and Chris Brochu will join the cast of The Vampire Diaries, E! News reported.

Hemmens, 29, will play Enzo's new love interest, while Maggie will appear during episode 19.

Damon Kills As Elena & Stefan Kiss?

Brochu, 24, will star as Luke, a new student at Whitmore college.

The character was previously described by E! as a "hottie," "handsome" and "sarcastic." The new addition will bond with Elena and Caroline, but will not form romantic ties with them since he's gay.

He will also have a sister on campus and will take his big brother duties to heart since he "will do (or sacrifice) anything to protect" her.

However, Luke, who will make his debut on episode 16, won't be an innocent character since the website noted that he has a "secret agenda." He's come to Whitmore for "mysterious and dangerous reasons" involving the escalating conflict between the travelers and the witches.

We've already seen the trouble associated with these special powers. For example, Katherine, who slipped into Elena's body using the Traveler's spell, will have a big impact on brothers Stefan and Damon.

"Oh, she's going to be at her best of no good. The thing that's so great is that she's so into Stefan right now and so not into Damon right now, and yet Elena was about ready to reembrace her relationship with Damon and Damon was all ready to win back his girl, so you can only imagine how that's going to go down," showrunner Julie Plec previously revealed to E! News.

 The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on the CW.
