Teresa and Joe Giudice may have really stepped in it this time as many believe they are going to jail, including legal commentator Nancy Grace.

Teresa Giudice is Business As Usual Amid Charges

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her husband are facing 41 counts of mail, wire, and bank fraud. While both of them are hopeful that they can move forward without serving any time, the outspoken Grace thinks they will be the first members of the Real Housewives franchise to serve hard time.

In a recent episode of her HLN show, Classicalite reported that she said, "I think they were in it together and you know what? You can get away with shoplifting, maybe stealing a car but don't mess with the feds when it comes to money. Never mess with the tax man. Never mess with the feds alright? They have no mercy."

The 54-year-old HLN host continued, "I predict they're going down. [As] Much as Martha Stewart was used I think they will be used as an example to other people."

As Grace mentioned, Martha Stewart was sentenced to five months in jail for her own fraud charges, including securities and obstruction of justice in 2004. Though five months does not compare to the Giudices' possible 50-year sentence, Stewart revealed to the Today Show that any prison time is damaging.

"I lost a fortune... It's hard to say, 'Good comes out of a bad time, and that saying that, 'It only makes you better'? Oh my gosh. Bull. It's terrible," she said last year.
