A recurring star on 90210 is about the become Arlene's (Carrie Preston) potential love interest on True Blood's final season.

True Blood Season 7 Premiere Date Revealed?

Riley Smith, who played Riley Wallace in 90210, is set to play Keith in the upcoming seventh season of True Blood, according to a new report by Deadline.

Keith is a "rock 'n' roll" vampire who also has a tender, romantic side to him. He is the drummer of James' (Nathan Parsons) band. Keith becomes enamored with Arlene upon seeing her for the first time.

True Blood: The Movie?

Enstars previously reported that Arlene could be getting a new love interest in the form of Keith, who was un-cast at that time. Arlene grieved the loss of her husband Terry Bellefleur (Todd Lowe) in season 6 and took over as the owner of Bellefleur's Bar and Grill.

Preston previously voiced her disapproval in giving Arlene another love interest to play against, telling The Hollywood Reporter that she wanted to see her be a strong woman on her own.

"I hope they don't pair her up with somebody," she said. "I'd like to see her be a strong woman and be OK in the world as a mom and an owner of a business and not be someone who doesn't feel complete if she doesn't have a man. This would be a nice evolution for her."

She added that season 7 was a nice place to end True Blood before things trailed off too much.

True Blood season 7 premieres in summer 2014 on HBO, though the network has not yet scheduled a specific start date.
