After coming back into contact with her mother's murderer, Beckett (Stana Katic) could find herself in an all-out war on a future episode of Castle.

Castle & Beckett Battling '70s Mobsters & Ninjas?

Beckett learned the true identity of her mother's murderer in the most recent episode of Castle: Senator William Bracken (Jack Coleman). While Beckett does not have enough to book him yet, things could reach a climax in a future episode of the show, according to series creator Andrew W. Marlowe.

"We do plan to have one more significant bite at this Beckett's mother's mythology stuff before the end of this season," Marlowe told TV Guide. "All sorts of things can happen. We still have a few tricks up our sleeve."

Castle-Beckett Wedding To Air Before Finale Episode?

Assuming Beckett and Bracken meet again in a future episode, Beckett might be getting down to business as the two attempt to eliminate each other.

"They've had this détente because, to the best of Bracken's knowledge, Beckett has information that will sink him," Marlowe said. "But this means if something else happens in the future, if these two come into contact, the gloves are off. That Sword of Damocles hanging over her head has to give her a sense of unease."

Marlowe added that Beckett's knowledge of Bracken being out and about in the world will linger in her mind through upcoming episodes. However, this doesn't mean she'll be diving into any crazy plots to hunt Bracken down anytime soon. Marlowe suggested that her relationship with Castle (Nathan Fillion) is too important for her to do anything too risky.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
