Lupita Nyong'o is Hollywood's newest "IT" girl. With looks that could place her on any high-fashion runway worldwide, her Yale training, and her propensity to inspire the masses with a fearless ability to accomplish her dreams, she is well on her way to becoming America's next sweetheart. As fans search to know more about her, Enstars gathered six facts that confirm that she is just as awesome as she seems on TV.

1. Being epic runs in the family. Lupita is obviously amazing, but that seems to be the standard in her family. Her father, Peter Anyang' Nyong'o, is a professor, powerful politician and a 2013 member of the Kenyan senate. Her mother, Dorothy Nyong'o, is the head of her own communications company and assists the Africa Care Foundation in their public relations efforts. Her cousin Tavia Nyong'o is an author and cultural critic who teaches at NYU. Her other cousin, Isis Nyong'o was named one of the most powerful women in Africa by Forbes in 2012 for her work in media and technology -- You may be familiar with some of the companies she's worked with, like Google and MTV(!!!). And then, of course there is her little brother Peter Nyong'o Jr., who is arguably the best photo bomber of all time as we all saw during the Oscars. Ummm... Excuse me Angelina. You're in my way.

2. She has entire nations battling to claim her as their own. Lupita is a Mexican-born Kenyan. The 31-year-old star was born in Mexico, but then lived with her parents in Kenya from the time she was one, until she was 16. She told Vanity Fair, "My father was a professor of political science and also a young politician fighting for democracy in Kenya, and when things got ugly, he went into political exile in Mexico. Then I moved back to Kenya... I spent some time back in Mexico at 16 because my parents thought it would be prudent for me to learn Spanish, because I held a Mexican passport."

Recently, she ended the heated discussion regarding her nationality in an interview with El Mañana. "I've seen the quarrels over my nationality, but I'm Kenyan and Mexican at the same time. So again, I am Mexican-Kenyan and I am fascinated by carne asada tacos."

3. She's actually not annoying to follow on Instagram. If we are being 100 percent honest here, at times, celebrities can be the most annoying users of social media. Many use it post expensive "gifts" from designers that some can't even pronounce, or pictures of their private jets, and exclusive access to things the non-famous population can only dream of. Lupita, on the other hand, uses her Instagram to share how grateful she is to experience this journey with her fans. Yes, she technically is at exclusive parties as well, but after all of her hard work, she undoubtedly deserves it. She recently posted a picture of she and the first black person to win an Oscar in 1963, Sidney Poitier, writing, "AND THEN I met Sidney Poitier!!!!!!!! My Inspiration. My Example. My Hope. My Gold Standard. Words cannot express my joy and amazement in having this dream encounter come true."

4. She loves '90's TV as much as we do. Lupita grew up watching '90s classic television shows like The Fresh Prince, Step By Step, and Friends. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel she revealed, "It was my first time on a roller coaster, and you know on Step by Step, in the opening credits, they look like they're having fun, smiling and waving... so as we went up, I was waving like they did in Step by Step, and then my waving came to an abrupt end."

5. Her touching Oscars acceptance speech. When other people are inspired by your success, you are officially an awesome person. There really isn't much more to say. Just WATCH.

6. She believes that she is the modern day reincarnation of Cinderella, too. Lupita's rise to the A-list and Oscar win seemed to be something out of a fairytale. Because of the Nairobi blue, pleated Prada dress she wore on the red carpet, which placed her at the top of our Best Dressed List, many news outlets coined her the modern day Cinderella.

In her interview during the post-Oscars episode of Live! With Kelly and Michael, she said of the magical night, "It has happened. 12 midnight came and this [her Oscar] did not disappear."

All she's missing now is a mean step mother, a prince, and the glass slipper.

The whole world witnessed as she won her very first Oscar this year and proved to be the belle of the ball, all awards season long.

Congratulations again, to the incomparable Lupita Nyong'o!
