While fan theories that the titular mother character will die in the How I Met Your Mother series finale, one of the show's stars may now be hinting that this won't be the case.

Robin's Dad Teases Information About The Series' End?

Cristin Milioti, who plays the character, sat down with The Hollywood Reporter the day before shooting wrapped, and in the interview, which was published March 10, she debunked the rampant theories that her character's death will be revealed when the show airs its March 31 series finale.

"That's insane," she said. "I know, there's been some crazy conspiracy theories, which actually just makes me really love the fans more, because i'm like..wow...you guys are getting to the bottom of like....something...I don't know, there's such passion there. That is so crazy."

Mother's Name Not Being Revealed Until Final Episode?

Though she didn't say anything more specific, she did admit that the show will end as the creators planned it would, and that no fake-out endings were filmed.

"They've [series co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas] had this vision for nine years," she said. "They know exactly what they want to do."

Despite Milioti's belief, fans appear to still believe her character will die, especially after the show's Vesuvius episode aired March 3.

The episode featured a flash-forward to 2024, in a scene where Ted and The Mother are back at the Farhampton Inn, when the mother makes a comment about attending a daughter's wedding. Despite her nonchalance when she said it, Ted became teary-eyed and visibly upset, which made fans think the Mother wouldn't be around for the couple's own daughter's wedding in the future.

Fans interpreted the scene as a direct hint that the character would die somewhere between 2024 and 2030, the year Ted began telling his children the story about their mother.

How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
