Bergeron is getting another new co-host for season 18, but he assured E! News that there is no bad blood between fired co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet and new co-host Erin Andrews.

He explained that Burke-Charvet and Andrews have been exchanging messages and handling the change with "maturity."

Bergeron also addressed the new twist set to occur at one point within the course of season 18. The new twist will allow America to switch the celebrities' dance partners, a twist that has already gotten some negative buzz from the pro dancers.

"I'm not sure yet how it's going to play out. I don't know if it's just for a week or whatever they do it they're going to do it for the balance of the season, so I'm kind of as curious as you and the dancers are, as to how this is going to play," Bergeron explained. "It's either going to be very intriguing and exciting or a trainwreck."

Bergeron then revealed which celebrity cast member he might be rooting for in season 18: actress Danica McKellar.

"I'll be completely honest with you-I had been lobbying personally to Danica [McKellar] to do it," Bergeron admitted. "I've been working on her a couple seasons now, and I was thrilled when she finally said yes." McKellar is paired with Val Chmerkovskiy for season 18.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
