When Will The Winchester Stop Fighting On 'Supernatural'? Jensen Ackles Discusses Sam & Dean's Continuing Hostility

The Knight of Hell will be masquerading as a nun during "Mother's Little Helper," but she won't be alone. Grandpa Winchester (Gil McKinney) will be right alongside her during a 1958 flashback.

Filming Begins For 'Supernatural: Bloodlines' Spin-off, New Roles Announced As Cast Updates Fans

Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) will unearth this little tidbit of family history when he heads out on a hunt by himself. After the brothers unearth the First Blade during "Blade Runners," Dean (Jensen Ackles) will sit out their next case due to the ever-increasing affects from the Mark of Cain.

"Imagine Dean taking a low dose steroid," Ackles explained to Winchester Radio. "It's starting to affect his emotional state, it's starting to affect his physical state. He's getting a lot more short tempered and he's feeling a lot more strength. He's getting a lot less emotional about situations and becoming more of a tool of hunting and it's starting to take its toll on him and you'll see that as the season starts to wrap up."

Supernatural airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' next episode, "Blade Runners."
