Radiohead's stage collapsed Saturday killing one man and injurying four others.

The stage at Toronto's Downsview Park collapsed at about 4 p.m. It's back scaffolding began to twist and snap and the metallic hanging structure collapsed onto the stage, the Toronto Star reports.

Radiohead was scheduled to perform at the sold-out concert at 7:30 p.m.

"Unfortunately, four people were hurt," Toronto police Constable Tony Vella told CNN Saturday. "The remainder of the people, when they heard the stage coming (down), ran from the area."

One man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man suffered serious injuries - but not life-threatening - and was rushed to the hospital, CNN reports.

Two other men suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene and released.

It remains unclear what caused the stage to collapse but Toronto's police was investigating the incident, according to The Star.

Radiohead canceled the concert which was expected to draw 40,000 fans.

"Radiohead concert canceled. There has been an incident, more details forthcoming," the park announced on its official Downsview Park's Facebook page.
