Information on the upcoming season of the hit British-American drama, Downton Abbey, continues to surface, including possible heated tension in his character.

Series To End After Season 5?

On Saturday, Independent posted an interview with actor Allen Leech (Tom Branson), who initially chose to stay coy when it came to the details of season 5.

"Of course I can tell you everything that's going to happen on series five of Downton Abbey, but I'm going to have to shoot you directly after telling you," he said.

Thomas To Experience New 'Bromance?'

Regardless of the mystery surrounding season 5, Leech actually came clean with a couple small details about the program's future episodes.

"Downton is always in a period of change so in season five, we are back dealing with what 1923/1924 is going to bring and seeing the house trying to battle against the modernisation of society and how the class system is slowly deteriorating," Leech revealed.

The actor then dished on his character on how the difficulty of his wife's death is likely going to creep up with him.

"For Tom, there was a certain political fire that was dampened by the death of his wife and you might see that come back," Leech said.

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
