It looks like Star Wars: Episode VII is almost set to begin filming, and a new filming location in a foreign area could be taking place.

Episode VII Will Be 'Extraordinary?'

On Tuesday, Badass Digest posted the news on the upcoming sci-fi flick directed by J.J. Abrams. The film is supposedly about to start shooting in Morocco on May 14, six weeks from Wednesday. Apparently, the filming will take place in Morocco for the first two weeks of filming. This suggests a possible return to Tatooine, as noted by the site, which could lead the filmmakers to Tunisia as well.

There is also a theory that Abrams may end up using old sets from Return of the Jedi.

Familiar Face To Join The Cast?

It was recently rumored that another filming location would take place in Iceland after Yahoo! Movies translated some information written in the Icelandic language.

"On the front page of an Icelandic newspaper there was an article about a crew coming over in April," Jedi News reportedly said. "And shooting some plate shots that are to be used for Episode 7 and that if they like it here they might shoot more scenes with cast and crew."

The site also explained what "plate shooting" was and how it worked.

"It will probably be 'plate shooting,'" they said. "Where the shooting team takes pictures of the landscape beyond. These images will then be potentially used as a background when items are taken up with the actors in the studio."

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
