The season 2 premiere of Orphan Black is just weeks away, and star Tatiana Maslany is teasing what's next for the various clones she plays.

Orphan Black Season 2: Presumed Dead Character Coming Back For "Shocking Return?"

Season 2 will delve into the clone Rachel, who was introduced at the end of season 1, where she was shown working with Dr. Leekie and the DYAD Institute. Fans will learn that Rachel had a very different childhood than her sister clones.

"I've been self-aware since I was a child," Rachel says in an upcoming episode, per E! Online. Rachel was raised fully aware of her identity as a clone, making her very different from the other clones, who mostly discovered when they were adults.

"Rachel is a hard one to love, until you get to know her," Maslany teases in the E! Online report.

Meanwhile, Alison will become much more paranoid in season 2, while still remaining her uptight, suburban self.

"Everything that happened to her last season has completely changed the fabric of her life and there's no way to get it back," Maslany says. "But she'll kind of pretend everything is good. She's in a severe amount of paranoia, fear, everything that makes Alison, Alison."

Maslany notes that her scenes as Alison are quite different from any other clone.

"The tone of the stuff that we do with Alison has always had a different kind of bent then the rest of the characters," she says.

Orphan Black season 2 premieres Saturday, April 19 at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
