Hawaii Five-0 fans can rest easy - Catherine Rollins will not be dying any time soon.

The long-running character is set to depart the CBS drama during episode 21, but executive producer Peter M Lenkov has assured viewers that the newest Five-0 member will exit the series with her life intact.

"She doesn't die," Lenkov told TV Guide while reiterating the same statement on Twitter. "She goes out spectacularly. She goes out a hero, and the door's open for her to come back. Hopefully we'll see her again at some point."

The former Navy Lieutenant and her NAVY Seal boyfriend will be heading to Afghanistan in episode 21, "Makani," for a story that explores Rollins' (Michelle Borth) past and brings a new intensity to the couple's relationship.

The "big, dramatic" romantic arc will include a meaningful statement from at least one member of the Five-0 crew.

"'I love you too' - you are you going to adore #H50 421," Lenkov teased his Twitter followers.

Rollins first appeared in the fourth episode of season 1, "Lanakila," and was promoted to series regular in season 3.
