It's been nearly two years since Hollywood comedians Amy Poehler and Will Arnett first announced that they were separating. So, what caused them to officially call it quits now?

Will Arnett Amy Poehler Separation: Revealing New Interview, "Life is Challenging"

Though the jokesters are technically still married, they have been linked to romancing other people. Previous reports have revealed that the 30 Rock funnyman once described dating as "very scary," but since then, he has wined and dined the celebrity food connoisseur, Katie Lee. Plus, he is now said to be dating Baby Mama co-producer, Erin David, whose movie ironically starred his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Likewise, the two-time Golden Globes hostess is reportedly enjoying a "blossoming relationship" of her own with comedian Nick Kroll. What's more, this divorce will be a first for Poehler, but Arnett has been married once before. His first wife was 50-year-old Broadway actress, Penelope Ann Miller.

Regardless of his and Poehler's "conscious uncoupling" though, it sounds like Arnett is still a happy camper. In August, People quoted him as having said, "I'm 43 and I've found my happiness - which is my kids." During almost a decade of marriage, the comedians birthed two sons named Archie and Abel. And, putting all jokes aside, TMZ revealed Wednesday that, "Arnett wants joint legal and physical custody of their two sons aged five and three. He also wants visitation."
