Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is reportedly making a difficult decision regarding her love life and her work.

On Thursday, Hindustan Times reported that the Bang Bang star received an invitation to the Cannes Film Festival this year, which could've been a great opportunity for Kaif. But unfortunately, it interferes with her alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film, and the actress is apparently choosing that over the big event.

"When Katrina received the invitation, she was seriously considering going, as Cannes is one of the most prestigious film events and you get to share the stage with several big names from across the world," a source said. "But she decided against going as she doesn't want to disrupt the schedule of her film."

The source also mentioned that the film is a really big deal to the rumored couple, especially to Kapoor, who has more than one job in the film.

"Ranbir is involved in this movie not only as a producer, but also as the lead actor opposite Katrina, so this film is very important to both of them," the insider said.

Anurag Basu is supposed to direct the upcoming movie in mid-May, which is about the same time the Cannes Film Festival takes place.

"Since it is being touted as a big project, Katrina doesn't want to miss out on anything, nor does she want the makers to rework the dates and complicate things further," the source said.

There is still no official word if Kaif and Kapoor are in an exclusive relationship, but the odds are continuing to increase.
