The Bachelorette 2012 Week 7 Recap: Arie Reveals Shocker
Last night's episode of the Bachelorette, the beautiful single mom Emily went to Prague with her potential husbands and received some shocking news from one of the men.
Spoiler Alert: Details of the June 25th episode follow.
The six remaining contestants faced a group date and a trio of one-on-one dates. A rose was only up for grabs on the group date.
The first one-on-one went to race car driver Arie, who has been cozying up to Emily over the past episodes as the two bond more and more.
But things are not as rosy as it seems for this star struck couple. Arie has a dirty secret up his sleeve. The show's host, Chris Harrison, comes in to reveal that he once had a short fling with one of the show's producers, Cassie Lambert, years ago.
"It's not a production thing, it's a real life thing," Emily says on-camera.
When Emily confronts Arie, he brushes it off, saying it wasn't serious and didn't mean anything. In a poor attempt to prove how little it meant, he says he has the name of another woman tattooed on his body.
There is footage of Emily and Cassie talking about the issue. However, nothing is shown of when Arie finally tells Emily his side of the story. What we do see is him confessing his love for her at the rose ceremony, making him the first one this season to do so. Emily responded well to that, she looked genuinely happy.
The second individual date went to John, AKA Wolf." Like Arie's date, John and Emily walked around Prague, this time painting a wall and placing a lock on a fence.
Later on at the group date, Emily promptly gave Doug the real estate agent the boot for not moving fast enough as well as not "fighting" for her. If Emily wanted cage death matches to decide her one true love, she should have said that in the premiere.
Doug's elimination meant that Chris and Sean were left to battle for the rose. Emily chose Sean, saying she'd really like to meet his family. This irked Chris to no end, and Emily reminded him not to take it personally.
In the end, Emily decides upon Jef and Arie (with Sean safe with the rose from the group date) and finally Chris to take part in the hometown dates next week.
