In a recent interview, the Colin Trevorrow, director of Jurassic Park 4, dished on a few details about the upcoming dino thriller.

In the interview with Empire magazine Trevorrow revealed details about the character Omar Sy will play in the film.

"He's essentially Chris Pratt's best friend. They work together and have some pretty cool action scenes together," Trevorrow said. "I wanted to create a relationship there that could be memorable and potentially carry on to future films."

It was announced that the X-Men: Days of Future Past star will be joining the cast in March.

Sy stated that he was proud to be joining the iconic franchise.

The French actor, who starred in the The Intouchables, announced the news via his Twitter account:

"Fan of this saga from the beginning, I'm very proud to be part of the cast for JURASSIC WORLD #jurassicworld @UniversalPics@colintrevorrow."

He also retweeted the news in French. The director of the film, Colin Trevorrow, also boosted the announcement via his Twitter account, also endearingly tweeting in French: "Très heureux d'accueillir @OmarSydans Jurassic World. @JurassicParkFR."

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise.

The film hits theaters June 12, 2015.
